First actual game in the skates last night and they were fantastic. I took the red insole out on the left skate because I felt like I had too much arch support in that one, but left them in on the right skate. Absolutely zero pain throughout the whole game. That's the first time I've skated through a game and never had any foot pain.

Interesting topic would like to weigh in. I am a long time mid kick user. nexus and supreme. I hate all low kick sticks i have ever used. Until the flylite. It seems to do everything well. slappers, snaps and wristers. I am a hardcore shooter and take a lot of shots per game and this is the first time i have used a low kick that works for me. I hated the 1x lite for example. Bought it and put it down after 2 minutes in a game. First 2 minutes with the flylite and i couldn't believe how amazing it is. Which leads me to believe that sticks are not hype it is 100% what suits your shot style. I dunno why the flylite works and others didnt but find what works and play with it religiously.

I ditched both my red insoles and use speed plates I like it to be firm on the bottom of my feet and as little cushion as possible. Gives me better feel.

I just went today to get fitted for new True's. I ended up going with the extra shot protection and the low-profile tongue. I saw all the tongues and I felt that one was the least intrusive and the guys said that it forms really nicely when you bake it. Going in I was kinda set on the T-guard, but he said it's kinda overkill and even though it's the "low-profile" tongue, it has some thickness to it. I tuck my tongues so there's not really that much that shows under my shinpad. I thought the scan was really cool too. Looking at them after, I was impressed with how well it captures. I'm also having the steel profiled with a 9/10 combo. I really interested to see the difference between these and my current skates which are Bauer X90's with Step Blacksteel. Now the waiting game begins. 4 Weeks until the beauties arrive!

The way patterns are going unless it's a sick and twisted toe at maxxxxxx height it won't be added. And if they do it'll be around for 2 gens of a stick then killed off like the P30.

While I suppose that's better than not doing anything - a PT regimen to rehab a specific injury should really be administered by a trained PT under the guidance and recommendations of an Ortho or doctor that diagnosed the injury.

It's normal for edge holders to have movement, but it's not normal 🙃. I've never had any movement in my ls2 holders or my SB 4.0. My experience with Edge was a nightmare I'll never go through again.

Most who changed to bulky steel like Step and LS5, etc, hate it at first. (also other steel as well if the old steel ends are banana shaped) But, the answer is simple, if these areas are bothering you while skating and you have given your muscle memory time to adjust to the new skates, holder and new steel, then by all means have some of the metal in those areas removed. Don't hack it all off at once, do it in small steps until you feel comfortable. Removing too much may "feel" better because that was what you were use to, but it doesn't always mean it's the best for performance.

After that performance he should stick with it. He’s been bouncing all over the place with sticks for months.
