Mexican plate, Mexican driver's license, hell it was a model of Nissan only available in Mexico. And of course he had Mexican insurance which means there is pretty much zero chance of my insurance company collecting. Yet it also doesn't count as an uninsured motorist. Kind of a screwy loophole in the system that ended up costing me. Oh well, it was only $1000 at the end of the day.

Well sure I'd prefer they fix something like flaps... kind of an important feature of a plane ;) Still frustrating that this was my first experience with this airline.

This IS a new plane. Apparently malfunctioning flaps. Only delayed an hour, at least.

Do what I did and get status :) But... Unlikely if you only fly once a year.In my case I had Virgin status match my Southwest companion pass to their Elevate Gold status. Virgin is the best airline in the country, it's just unfortunate that their list of destinations is so small and that their hub is in such an awkward place. I go to SF a lot, but it pretty much eliminates Virgin as an option for most of my travel :(

We went with the high deductible just figuring if anything major happens that were at fault for it's only $1000 anyway. Turns out a Mexican driver isn't covered by uninsured motorist clauses, nor can our insurance company collect from them. Really infuriating that they can drive on our highways without being liable for damage they cause to other people's vehicles.

Could be worse... the damage to our X1 on page 198 was $1000 out of pocket. Rear-ended by a Mexican (and therefore absolutely zero chance of our insurance ever collecting on it... so we were out the deductible).

We have that same damn stand-up cutout at our rink and I swear I keep looking up and thinking its somebody there to pass to.

hah, having 3 goalies for drills would be really nice. Like you said, getting the occasional break is nice. Games are one thing, but drills are just up/down over and over and over and you never really get a break. Check out Maria Mountain's videos on youtube if you want good stretching exercises.

After two weeks of travel for work followed by travel for TWO funerals (on different ends of the continent of course), and two whole days at home, my first flight of this week is delayed. Because why not at this point?
