  1. I thought that jersey was amazing and instantly wanted one... then I saw a picture when I wasn't in the sun and saw it was black... WHY!
  2. Did you get the added protection in them? I've gotten hit a few times on the skates but have never felt anything, not sure if that is luck or what.
  3. Can we see the back?
  4. I would also suggest looking at the X900 Lite shoulder pads. I was going to get FT1s and once I tried on the X900 I couldn't not go for them.
  5. Yeah, I have my order already. They return calls in order of them receiving the calls. I called basically an hour after they posted everything up. I posted the link a day after it was up so there is probably a big list. Last time they did it, a bunch of sellers and stores on sidelineswap bought a tonne of their inventory to flip. So if you see any flames socks chances are they paid $1 Canadian for them.
  6. Everything on the site is orders they take over the phone and shipped. I think it is free shipping within Canada for over $100 orders.
  7. Flames sale is online now. Some massive jersey steals, $50 for team issued jersey with names/numbers (obviously not big names). $40 for blank team issued jerseys. $20 for numbered practice jerseys and $40 for named practice jerseys. You have to call the store, leave a message with your name and number and they call you back and you tell them what you'd like to order. I didn't really look through the equipment section so can't comment on those prices/deals. http://www.flamesport.com/store/content/306/equipment-sale-2018/
  8. I completely agree with you, I have had people tell me they thought the toe on the Quads was too much for them. It took me a good 3 skates until I stopped transitioning with the toes and I was comfortably not loosing my balance.
  9. I figured as much but wanted to learn what other people thought. I went straight to a Quad 1 and won't go back, I'd like to suggest something as aggressive as a Quad since it should make a very noticeable difference. But I am worried you'd shave off too much at the toe when doing that.
  10. Did you ever find an answer to what to recommend to someone who is new to profiling? I know it varies from person to person but I am curious if you found a conclusion.
  11. The flapping his "wings" like their mascot?
  12. The difference in blade and stick carbon there is really interesting to me.
  13. The custom arch ones, but aren't those the orthobeds?
  14. Have any of you tried the new footbeds?
  15. Had some foot pain in the FT1 and needed to get a wider heel and more depth. These felt great right away.
  16. Finally got a photo of the new pads, was a playoff game and I wasn't ready to wear the gloves yet.
  17. Added some colour, hard to do when playing on multiple teams.
  18. Finally got the hockey room in the basement complete...
  19. I went from stock to a Quad 1. First 3 skates I felt like I was falling forward on my toes all the time, especially transitioning from skating backwards to forward where I actually fell a few times. Now I love it and won't go back, I feel much more agile in my turns and more stable in straight line. Stopping and starting as really felt quicker as well.
  20. Is the retailer Pro Hockey Life?
  21. Well true skates don't attach the holder to the monocoque holder anyways. I wouldn't fear being on edge holders, I've been on my for 3 years with no issues. The majority of time there are issues (from what I heard) is when they have improperly fitted steel in them.
  22. I don't think the skates look good with black either. So I'd rather have colour than nothing.
  23. New skates! I think they are hideous but if they are comfortable they will be worth it.
