Finally got around to getting my soccer gear out of my hockey shelf... Just need to move it into better lighting once the basement gets cleaned up.

I know you said you are done with this thread. But I'd be curious what you would put me in. I've tried FT1, AS1 and I still have foot pain in both skates, especially if I don't wear extremely thin socks. Only skates so far I am generally comfortable in after skating are my True goalie skates, but even those hurt like hell if I tighten the laces lower on the foot.

I agree that their red/green/white jerseys are better than their normal ones. I feel like the green doesn't suit "The Devils." I know the Jersey Devil lives in a forest but still haha.

Why would the gloves have black on them when that jersey doesn't have any black at all?

I feel like orange is a bad idea. Islanders have had 1 orange jersey and it was pretty terrible... Imagine them doing the stadium series jersey but with Fisherman blue accents... yes please. Edit: Now that I have looked at some concepts... orange isn't a BAD idea if done right. I still think it the Flyers and Oilers have orange and Islanders shouldn't copy them. With that said these are pretty cool.

Eh, they kind of tried the new thing with the black alternates. They should either go back to the Stadium series set or go back the fisherman route. Both of those looks are unique, Fisherman would throw in the unique shade of blue. Ducks jerseys are a huge swing and a miss, the NHL doesn't need ANOTHER black based jersey. It should've been eggplant based with black accents. Coyotes knocked it out of the park with their throwbacks. Everyone wants them, they are unique and a step up on their current jerseys. The Hurricanes are so close to being great, but I just feel it is a bit off. Not going with red numbers with thick white font removes the uniqueness of the previous alternate. I think the striping pattern is too bland but the state hidden in the primary logo is an awesome touch. Canucks with the flying skate is a safe bet, they used it a few years ago to great success. I still think they should dump the orca logo though. Flyers went the safe route with their black stadium series jerseys. I think the Flyers have a great look and that rounds the set up with a black based one.

I sort of disagree, I think the internals are more comfortable since they added the "buttersoft" portion of the Alpha. But the externals and actually flexibility of the glove I totally agree. -

Did you get the added protection in them? I've gotten hit a few times on the skates but have never felt anything, not sure if that is luck or what.

Yeah, I have my order already. They return calls in order of them receiving the calls. I called basically an hour after they posted everything up. I posted the link a day after it was up so there is probably a big list. Last time they did it, a bunch of sellers and stores on sidelineswap bought a tonne of their inventory to flip. So if you see any flames socks chances are they paid $1 Canadian for them.

Some massive jersey steals, $50 for team issued jersey with names/numbers (obviously not big names). $40 for blank team issued jerseys. $20 for numbered practice jerseys and $40 for named practice jerseys. Did you notice more blade on the toe or heel when making turns?

I completely agree with you, I have had people tell me they thought the toe on the Quads was too much for them. It took me a good 3 skates until I stopped transitioning with the toes and I was comfortably not loosing my balance.

I figured as much but wanted to learn what other people thought. I went straight to a Quad 1 and won't go back, I'd like to suggest something as aggressive as a Quad since it should make a very noticeable difference. But I am worried you'd shave off too much at the toe when doing that.

Had some foot pain in the FT1 and needed to get a wider heel and more depth. These felt great right away.

Finally got a photo of the new pads, was a playoff game and I wasn't ready to wear the gloves yet.
