So sorry to hear.

I thought that jersey was amazing and instantly wanted one... then I saw a picture when I wasn't in the sun and saw it was black... WHY!
-
Did you get the added protection in them? I've gotten hit a few times on the skates but have never felt anything, not sure if that is luck or what.

Can we see the back?

Quick question: low profile shoulder pads
Hills replied to GoalForFun's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
I would also suggest looking at the X900 Lite shoulder pads. I was going to get FT1s and once I tried on the X900 I couldn't not go for them. -
Yeah, I have my order already. They return calls in order of them receiving the calls. I called basically an hour after they posted everything up. I posted the link a day after it was up so there is probably a big list. Last time they did it, a bunch of sellers and stores on sidelineswap bought a tonne of their inventory to flip. So if you see any flames socks chances are they paid $1 Canadian for them.
-
Everything on the site is orders they take over the phone and shipped. I think it is free shipping within Canada for over $100 orders.

Flames sale is online now. Some massive jersey steals, $50 for team issued jersey with names/numbers (obviously not big names). $40 for blank team issued jerseys. $20 for numbered practice jerseys and $40 for named practice jerseys. You have to call the store, leave a message with your name and number and they call you back and you tell them what you'd like to order. I didn't really look through the equipment section so can't comment on those prices/deals. http://www.flamesport.com/store/content/306/equipment-sale-2018/

Did you notice more blade on the toe or heel when making turns?

I completely agree with you, I have had people tell me they thought the toe on the Quads was too much for them. It took me a good 3 skates until I stopped transitioning with the toes and I was comfortably not loosing my balance.

I figured as much but wanted to learn what other people thought. I went straight to a Quad 1 and won't go back, I'd like to suggest something as aggressive as a Quad since it should make a very noticeable difference. But I am worried you'd shave off too much at the toe when doing that.

Did you ever find an answer to what to recommend to someone who is new to profiling? I know it varies from person to person but I am curious if you found a conclusion.

The flapping his "wings" like their mascot?
-
The difference in blade and stick carbon there is really interesting to me.
-
The custom arch ones, but aren't those the orthobeds?
-
Have any of you tried the new footbeds?
-
Had some foot pain in the FT1 and needed to get a wider heel and more depth. These felt great right away.
-
Finally got a photo of the new pads, was a playoff game and I wasn't ready to wear the gloves yet.
-
Added some colour, hard to do when playing on multiple teams.
-
Finally got the hockey room in the basement complete...
-
I went from stock to a Quad 1. First 3 skates I felt like I was falling forward on my toes all the time, especially transitioning from skating backwards to forward where I actually fell a few times. Now I love it and won't go back, I feel much more agile in my turns and more stable in straight line. Stopping and starting as really felt quicker as well.

Is the retailer Pro Hockey Life?
-
Well true skates don't attach the holder to the monocoque holder anyways. I wouldn't fear being on edge holders, I've been on my for 3 years with no issues. The majority of time there are issues (from what I heard) is when they have improperly fitted steel in them.
-
I don't think the skates look good with black either. So I'd rather have colour than nothing.
-
New skates! I think they are hideous but if they are comfortable they will be worth it.
