Are the newer Ribcore skates the highest volume CCM skate?
Hills replied to beardacus's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
From what I recall CCM changed the sizing on EE Ribcors to accommodate bigger feet and it isn't a direct comparison to their D size. Never tried it on though myself so I can't comment on that. -
My point is you could've kept the angle at the top and made their other changes to get EVEN more coverage if you follow their logic with pieces sticking out more cuts off the angle.
-
Optik 2 doesn't have a lot of bend. The funny part of Warrior flattening the board for more surface area kind of goes against the "we stuck the gear out further to take of more surface area" since with the bend the top of the board would theoretically cut down the angle... I like a big of the angle, I've had pucks ramp up and in off my blocker before so I can't see the straight one helping that.

It is, the wrap makes the lace have to be like squished through the eyelits at an angle and eventually they all fall apart
-
All the time with my Trues 😞 Always have to end up burning the tips so they fit through the eyelits
-
Good luck! Hopefully the league either turns around or your team can start at the new rink.

This also explains an STX stick I bought at a local store that was about 5 years old. Was WAY too grippy to the point of sticking to your open palm. I had to sand it down to remove the grip.
-
To me it varied between different True sticks. IIRC the True A6.0 SBP felt like it was 10 below the XC9 I was using. I couldn't pass with it because it was too whippy.

Do you have pictures of the shins?
-
Basically CCM thinned out the knee donut to show off the D3O and make their shins worse. They have slowly made that donut thicker but it still isn't good enough. Not to mention the D3O there is hard and not actually nice to land on. The rest of the pad like everyone is saying is REALLY good.

I have 3, it is on them all, on mine they aren't perfectly straight. Doesn't feel like anything either just looks like the carbon joint?

Tell Me About My Jetspeed Team Stick?
Hills replied to ParabolicActivity's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
The new Team Jetspeeds have the blade finish of the newer top end sticks. It is textured compared to the older ones which were smooth. -
I pay for the teams I play on... I get a jersey and I enjoy my time with them. I don't pay as much as the others do but I still insist on paying. Pickup and drop in I would obviously never pay for though.

Nah, that guy is a hack and never even used it!
-
It's CAD. I have one on order!

There is a person on S2K that is giving really high praise for the ADV. I trust that person's opinion much more than what was said here.
-
I find the blacked out Jetpseed shin kinda funny. But dam, the next generation of kids really like flashy things eh?

Starting in Goal as an Adult - 2020 Canadian Edition
Hills replied to Giltis's topic in General Goalie Discussion
Offer $250, it is old and used. -
Locally, and where is it $40 more?
-
Make sure you look for the XP on the label though for the CCM's as that represents the D3O foam package.

That is a 600 break. -
HG12 or HG13 XP. Will have D3O fingers and backhand and has better backhand segmentation for more mobility. In my experience 11K cuffs are bigger than the Covert cuffs.

https://www.thehockeyshop.com/collections/bauer-supreme-adv-hockey-sticks/products/bauer-supreme-adv-grip-senior-hockey-stick It is the same price as the Supreme ADV. But sure let's keep talking bs. A lot of stores are still selling the Supreme for $399.

This company was supposed to send me a few sets to review... and they never came. But they evidently have decent reviews for their work boot laces so perhaps check them out? https://www.ironlace.com/
