Here is the new Pro boot: https://www.true-hockey.com/true-products/tf-pro/

Thanks! None of this stuff was done for a team, I reached out to Pride Tape as I use their tape and I am a big fan of what they are doing.. I did it as I support the cause and my @breezietold me to get rainbow haha. HR is the logo for my social media handle.

My setup arrived just before the end of the month 🙂

Thigh rise stops knees from getting destroyed. Remove those and you have to increase the allowed knee pad sizes to Giguere sizes which people complained about for being too big...
-
That's what I've been saying... it will be the same basic skate but mass produced and in different price points.
-
Do you think they will actually be anything different than more mass produced versions than they already have?
-
At least it isn't giant CCM text ensure you know what brand they are using. Also players are NOT looking at minimalist designs, just look at all the crap that comes out of the EA NHL games. Players will be putting custom designs on sticks and skates in the future and love the flash. At least with these skates you can custom them to be grey and understated.
-
It's not. Axis is the step in the right direction for CCM. Will be nice to see what the CCM team can come up with and hopefully they utilize their player tech more.
-
Brands will still use those distinctions for marketing tools... but it is personal preference and Bauer really doesn't have a soft pad anymore. Vapors are stiffer than every brand's retail paid out there BUT CCM Axis which is basically the same stiffness. It is kind of the problem with Bauer atm, they are totally ignoring the "soft" pad crowd that tended to go with the hybrid and reactive style of goalies.

My RX3 fit massive so but other people say they are tighter. So not sure what to tell you sorry
-
Thanks, I haven't seen the HPR1, but the 2's are tighter everywhere than Vapors except the cuff area which is WAY bigger.

Are the newer Ribcore skates the highest volume CCM skate?

Slightly related question... is the 490 the same stiffness as the FT1 or closer to the FT2. Did you make the FT2 a stiffer skate than the FT1? -

This is super helpful! Thank you. Great reason why forums like this are much more useful than other social media sites. -
Sorry to hear 😞

The last 3 pictures don't apply anymore Jetspeed is now smaller than the Tacks line all around. -

From what I recall CCM changed the sizing on EE Ribcors to accommodate bigger feet and it isn't a direct comparison to their D size. Never tried it on though myself so I can't comment on that. -
My point is you could've kept the angle at the top and made their other changes to get EVEN more coverage if you follow their logic with pieces sticking out more cuts off the angle.
-
Optik 2 doesn't have a lot of bend. The funny part of Warrior flattening the board for more surface area kind of goes against the "we stuck the gear out further to take of more surface area" since with the bend the top of the board would theoretically cut down the angle... I like a big of the angle, I've had pucks ramp up and in off my blocker before so I can't see the straight one helping that.
-
It is, the wrap makes the lace have to be like squished through the eyelits at an angle and eventually they all fall apart
-
All the time with my Trues 😞 Always have to end up burning the tips so they fit through the eyelits
-
Good luck! Hopefully the league either turns around or your team can start at the new rink.
-
This also explains an STX stick I bought at a local store that was about 5 years old. Was WAY too grippy to the point of sticking to your open palm. I had to sand it down to remove the grip.
-
To me it varied between different True sticks. IIRC the True A6.0 SBP felt like it was 10 below the XC9 I was using. I couldn't pass with it because it was too whippy.

Do you have pictures of the shins?
