  1. https://www.thehockeyshop.com/collections/bauer-supreme-adv-hockey-sticks/products/bauer-supreme-adv-grip-senior-hockey-stick It is the same price as the Supreme ADV. But sure let's keep talking bs. A lot of stores are still selling the Supreme for $399.
  2. Everything new is stupid until it works and becomes mainstream. Let's be real, there is 1 or maybe 2 people here that would actually buy a top end stick for retail anyways let alone a limited run basically prototype. I like that Bauer is trying things, let the whales buy it and test it while everyone else waits to see if it catches on.
  3. While the internet believes CCM was holding Lefevre back, from what I heard it was the other way around. Lefevre certainly has their hardcore followers and a bunch are in the NHL. But I am excited for what CCM has to offer.
  4. Second mask is ordered... but 8 month lead time 😞
  5. My new setup is almost complete with the jersey!
  6. Yes, me asking for "half size big in the toe" ended up them just removing the black thicker foam piece and keeping only the red ones. I took everything out of the toe and I couldn't flatten my foot out when standing and with knees bent my toes were still squished.
  7. It was the only way I could get my toes not being crushed in the toe box... so it was a worth while.
  8. I disagree on not going with Superfeet. Only thing I used to get my player skates comfortable. But it was the VERY last thing I tried.
  9. Just wait until they catch up with Bauer's decision and they will spread them out... Then they will change the names of their top end products to something unique to differentiate from the other brands that added "Pro" to their lines. 😆
  10. It is a solid stick, but like other Sher-wood sticks I wouldn't expect performance like the top of CCM/Bauer/Warrior. It feels like a slight tier down to me. But I love the grip and the new stiffer blade compared to the EK60.
  11. Which also makes sense that 99% of the guys that can blow pucks by me are using Supreme, Nexus, Tacks, Jetspeed.
  12. I don't even look at it as "low kick gets off faster so goalie has less of a time to react." It's more of "I have less time to ensure proper technique and load so low kicks allow me to just quickly fling it at the net trying to get around legs or a block." The shot ends up being more consistent as the stick does more of the work for me.
  13. I shoot slower with the low-licks than I do the Supremes and Tacks. But it is way easier to get off quickly and consistently, where as I really have to load the Tacks and Supreme to get a good shot off. But it comes off a few MPH faster.
  14. I was expecting thinner like the old Bauer tongues. These still feel a bit thick for my liking as if I crank the laces I start to get lace bite near my instep. I enjoy the tongue more than the stock one though just for the lower profile.
  15. Is it the newest one? I thought they were called thin pro or something that is why I am asking
  16. Verbero Mercury socks are super comfortable and often go on sale for 50% off. Thicker sock compared to the really thin ones though.
  17. I fail the pencil test in true skates but never had issues with lace bite. I figured it was due to me not actually having to tighten the skates much to get them to feel snug. I basically only tie up the top 3 eyelits.
  18. Some people definitely have unrealistic expectations, but I always tell them if your feet are numb when while you skate or you can't stand on them for a bit after you skate something is wrong.
  19. Did you have to pay to send those back? Or did they cover shipping.
  20. The best part about True skates is when you have at least 3 people every time comment "you should know by now there are QC issues" or "these are cosmetic and will have no affect on performance"... etc... etc instead of saying "Yeah they should change this"
  21. No, I shouldn't because at this point it is possible weight distribution and just throwing them on the scale won't do anything for that. When I have both skates on at the same time and can feel a difference with every time I lift my foot I think talking about the weight thing is valid. Something that people don't understand is being critical doesn't mean a product is bad. The fit and finish of these skates is horrendously bad and if Bauer did the same thing people would rip them apart. I asked for extra room in the toe box as I don't want my toes touching the ends when I am standing still, Trues solution to this was just to remove the black layer of foam in the toe box and not actually make the skate slightly longer. They were still too tight so I took out the red piece of foam as well. Doing so ripped out a decent chunk of plastic wrapping... that shouldn't be a thing and there is a reason why True tells you "make sure you go in the back when removing the foam in the toe box." True makes a unique product that has a niche, but they also could do a bunch of things better that people really shouldn't be excusing them for. Instead of saying "this wear on your leather is fine and is just aesthetics on your $1000 skate" True should do better QC. But based on their new protective line and gloves I think it is pretty obvious True ignores majority of critical feedback. At the end of the day I still bought True skates, and this will be my 2nd pair. But I'll always point out things where there could be improvement, I would also kill to have a comfort edge on True skates... You thoughts are what everyone should expect.
  22. Yes, they feel the same in your hand but feel way heavier on my foot.
