  1. This is the best grip I have ever used; https://vukgripz.com/ We sell a ton of it in store and I have yet to hear anything negative from any customer that buys it.
  2. My rep said they no longer offer the Pro Custom options at retail level to any store. This would be one level up from standard custom.
  3. The store you bought them from can open a warranty claim with Bauer to get you new holders.
  4. I think the FT4 Pro is too flashy of a skate and the AS-V Pro looks much better. I also like that CCM ditched the yellow color and is moving to gold.
  5. Do you have a copy of the digital order that was submitted to CCM showing you ordered a 1/4 side and they gave you a 1/2 size? The email would be titled "CCM Order Confirmation" and would come from DoNotReply@techmed3d.com
  6. This is correct. There is a 3D scan and the other option is a Pro Fit, where you complete a document adjusting specifics. Here is the form: Bauer Custom Skates Order Form.xlsm In the past there was many more option available, but they have removed most of them.
  7. Semantics, I guess. When someone says "last year" I read it differently. Also, why a store that sold customs would not support a customer is ridiculous. @Lfntn10 Where are you located? I own a store and know most of the CCM reps so I can act as a bridge for you.
  8. The store you ordered them from should be handling this. However, given that it's been over a year, I don't think anyone will help you. How come you noticed this now, and how did you determine they are the wrong size?
  9. As mentioned, the 100k is significantly stiffer than an 80K boot. I would look for an 68-70K or 78-80K as @stick9 mentioned.
  10. I agree that the PVD coating helps edge retention and does provide additional protection but I don't think it changes the glide, bite, feel, or sharpening. I am fairly certain blind testing would show 90% of players would not be able to tell the difference in a controlled environment.
  11. I have an account with them. Seems they do have them in stock. Thanks for sharing!
  12. Carbonlite steel is terrible. It doesn't sharpen well and I have seen a lot of breakage. Pulse TI vs Pulse, they are both the same set of steel. The TI then has a PVD coating applied after polishing. They sharpen the same and feel the same on the ice. The PVD coating supposedly helps with better edge retention. I personally think its more for looks.
  13. You have a very correct assumption.
  14. Thats why I like girdles. Keeps everything in place and close to the body.
  15. TF series = Lightweight, designed for players looking for support and stability Catalyst series = Ultra lightweight, designed for players looking for agility and increased range of motion https://www.groupehockey.com/public/catalogues/TRUE CATALOGUE 2022.pdf
  16. I would only make something if there was enough demand to justify such. In this case, 90%+ players find velcro to be just fine. 8% will use a separate garter belt + cup combo. 2% will ask for things that are unique. 😉
  17. Agreed that its simple and sometimes simple is a good solution. But if you have access to a pro shop that is knowledgeable I prefer to steer people to other alternatives. I think out of all the profiles we have done there have only been a couple people who preferred a CAG over anything else they tried. Obviously, younger players are more open to trying new things while older players are more "set in their ways."
  18. Basically just garter clips with velcro attachment? I checked their website and didn't see them
  19. Tydan loves to pitch CAG. I rarely see them recommend anything other than CAG. No offense to CAG, but I am not a fan. We convert a ton of people using CAG to dual, triple, quad or quint profiles.
  20. Bauer = Custom or Pro Stock CCM = Retail and Pro Stock TRUE= Retail and Pro Stock Warrior: Custom or Pro Stock https://prostockhockeysticks.com/ = Available https://nonamehockey.co/ = Available
  21. WSI used to make these but it seems they recently stopped. I keep getting asked by customers if anyone else makes something similar, preferably in a pant. I know players can just use a compression pant and then use a cup + garter combo but they want an all-in-one unit. Any ideas who makes one still?
  22. I find players who like a more neutral balance prefer the Quad 0.5, and those that prefer a more "knees over toes" "forward pitch" choose the Quad 0, Quad 1, and Quad 2. However, any profile can be adjusted to have the pitch added/removed and the balance point adjusted. I am only referring to templates as they come "out of the box."
  23. The scan will change the scan significantly. Your weight distribution differs considerably standing straight up compared to having your knees over toes in the proper hockey stance. I would go back and request another scan.
  24. I like the PX. I like the AS4 Pro. They are both great. Only way to see if you like one more than the other is to try it. My opinion means little, what works for me may not work for you and vice versa.
