Let us know when you do. I'm always on the lookout for some h34s, but if you could make em I'd buy
-
Personally, past injury is a rolled ankle with some ligament and tendon damage and a broken cuboid bone on the top outside of the foot. Just wondering if there is a hard and fast rule.
-
I'm talking about two skates that fit. Meaning, I want to understand the principles mostly
-
I'm wondering what type of but is preferable for ankle injuries. I'm referring to both helping with past injuries and preventing future injuries. I'm thinking that a monocoque boot or a more mobile/low cut/less stiff boot enables more mobility and flexibility, whereas a super stiff standard 2-piece boot would be more restrictive and supportive. Which one is preferable for supporting past injuries? Which is better for preventing future ankle injuries?

Yes, this is Joe Esposito that I mentioned above. Phenomenal. Here's the only guy I send to personally. CPR and Peaches are great, but take much longer and they don't carry as many options. I would suggest you reach out to the above and ask them. My guess would be deerskin palms with some sorry if tacky digital overlay, but he would know better.
-
He's right though, and it doesn't have to be the right glove, just has to be close enough that you can use the foam and nylon from it.
-
You need to contact someone who does expert glove repairs and get some combo of palm and overlay that will work for you. Tell them your issue and they will help you resolve it. Either Pat and Ken at CPR, Peaches Brennan, or Joe Esposito. Get a glove that fits you perfectly and is the amount of protection that you want and invest in the palms so they will work for you. Obviously retail stock palms are not working. Don't keep throwing good money at this issue.

I'm a big fan of eagle gloves. They aren't known for being tight fit, but the talon 200 and Aero pro are more snug than your average 4 roll. Protection is not like the super fancy, high tech stuff, but they are made well and the padding is great imo. Otherwise, as recommended, CCM pro stock is amazing and very cheap. Hg12 for a more snug fit if you're ok with a flex cuff. I also sweat something awful, but I wear deerskin palms and I use leather for my stick grip, so I tend to have minimal issues with durability.
-
The protection on CCM pro stock in general is far better than anything else imo. I've never had hg41cl, but HG12/14 and ql have been phenomenal with protection and feel. I ended up selling them primarily because I prefer leather palms and didn't really want to spend a pile of money repalming basically new gloves. Would have more than double the cost of the gloves for me. But they were excellent gloves. The build quality is exceptional and I honestly have no complaints at all, just that they didn't suit my personal preference.

STEP BLACKSTEEL for Bauer LS EDGE (where can I get it?)
Miller55 replied to Jordan_Rex's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
I've had pretty good experience with eBay. They have a satisfaction guarantee and will refund you if you don't get it or if it isn't what it's supposed to be. They can penalize the seller too. I once had a jackass landlord who stole a package I got from eBay and eBay refunded me the money entirely. I told them it arrived but was stolen before I got there. (I ended up going into the landlords apt a while later when he wasn't home and taking that package back, along with a few of my wife's paychecks that were sitting there... I called eBay and told them the package showed up and they said they'd get back to me and never did...) Point is that you're pretty well protected on eBay. If you'd like to get a better deal, try sideline swap, since you can make offers and try to get a better price, or if a seller has multiple sets you can make an offer for multiple at a lower rate. SLS is also pretty good about covering the buyer if anything isn't right -
Ask me anything about the Marsblade R1

Woooohooooo -
No. You have to set it up on your account and then file a claim within 30 days of the return. https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/returns Details. Hope this is okay to post here.
-
That's awesome. Ok have to look into that with the twigs I just returned. Thanks
-
That was the plan. I actually think 3 pairs will be sufficient. My plan was to get these for the new R1s. I honestly don't need them, as I converted a pair of 1Ss to Sprungs for concrete rinks, but they are more fragile than I expected. I'm thinking about just swapping them for the R1 frames and keeping the second set of Sprungs for when my other set on my 2S Pros go. (The other option is to keep both sets of Supremes with Sprungs for indoor and just wait till one pair is done before using the other. Then I would get the TF7s or 9s and use the R1s on those for outdoor. Not sure if it's worth it though, plus I don't really have space for another set of skates. I know myself and if I could just go try them on and walk out with them I probably would do it, but to order online and hope to get the right size, even if I can still return them, is not really that appealing to me. Then there's the added question of whether or not it is wise to drill a third set of holes in the 1Ss, or if that will affect the outsole durability and strength. My assumption is that it's fine, but I'm not sure).

What I'm worried about is having all of those skates around. I have two little prankster toddlers who manage to get into everything, but I don't have any space to hide 4 pairs of ice skates. I'll have to figure something out, but it might be worth it to just drive out to long island Edit: nevermind, it seems like Pure hockey isn't running the rebate promotion... Meh. Maybe I'll just get Grafs. Maybe I just won't spend money on skates I don't actually need... Dilemmas, dilemmas haha
-
My local shop told me yesterday that they're probably not going to stock the retails until mid-fall... Wasn't really trying to drive an hour and a half to try these on. Considering ordering from IW but I'd much rather try in store. Not interested in ordering four pairs of skates

This is pretty much the only relevant question left haha -
Awesome video. I agree, the verbero aeropuck feels very light, which I think is the source for the issues with feel and unpredictable bouncing. How durable does the hoplite puck feel? I someone shoot around against a handball wall and would be worried about the internal mechanics getting jostled pet badly. I usually use my old Sonic pucks for that, but most one piece pucks do fine. Now you need to try the Green biscuits

Just wanted to post it here for the record, that yellow grippers are officially rated at 80a. (Since lot of people read this stuff for into, just wanted to make it easily accessible).

2020 Inline Hockey Indoor Wheels Poll
Miller55 replied to eastside's topic in Roller Hockey Equipment
You left out the high end RR wheels, Identity, hornets, hot shots. I used to use 79a Identity and they were sick. Found them to be too slick for painted cement though. Waiting on an order of Konixx Pures +2 right now, we'll see how they hold up -
The funny thing about that 250 off is that if you want to buy 2 pairs of skates, it's better to buy each pair separately and get 150 off of each. Just something I realized the other day playing around with different discounts in the cart. Edit: if you're buying two pairs of tf9s. If you're buying a TF9 and a tf7, then but then together and get 250 instead of 150+50
-
Gotcha. Yeah EE in 50k is pretty wide. I'd imagine you would have fit a Nexus D. Anyway, if you don't have a shop to try on them just order one of each and return one. iw had free returns
-
Yeah from what I'm hearing a R should be fine for me.
-
Yes, it should help a lot. What width and model are you in Bauer? Personally, I have a wide forefoot and I think I'll go with a R width. I wear Supreme D (which is an E) and am fine in a vapor EE in the forefoot, but I don't like the heel and ankle area of the vapor.

Interesting. I believe that dek hockey by me is also played 4 on 4, but they have offsides. There's just a half court line, no neutral zone, but you can enter the offensive zone until the ball enters. If my memory serves me right, it's been a while since 7th grade
