I wear the cage in C div or lower, the visor comes out in A or B division where guys know to keep their sticks and shots DOWN! elbows: OLD Jofas (not even sure of the model). they're pretty heavily modified. shoulders: farrels (love these) jock: some cheap velcro pants (need something better here) pants: CCM HP35 shins: reebok 8k (17" but I cut them off shorter - I REALLY need new ones) gloves: easton 4 roll prostock skates: x900 and graf 707 sticks: warrior AQ prostock 75 flex p28, warrior qrl 85 flex p28 (x2) thinking of switching to some 75 flex p92 curve sticks. really need new shin pads BADLY. looking for some rbk 8k or 9k 16". mhouse7 1 Report post Posted January 17, 2020 (edited) Helmet: CCM Tacks 710 (paid 55 dollars for a worn 1 time to try on, steal of the century) Visor: Ronin Pro Slim (from Amazon, would actually highly recommend it, it looks good and fits good) Pads: Bauer Vapor X800 Elbows: Warrior Alpha QX4 Gloves: Warrior Alpha QX4 (got them on clearance for 50 dollars) Shins: Warrior Alpha QX4 Pants: Bauer NSX Skates: CCM Tacks 9060 with Speedplate 2.0 footbeds (great pair for an entry level rec player, HIGHLY recommend speedplates, the difference over the stock footbeds is unbelievable, I got the speedplates on sideline swap ) Sticks: Warrior Alpha QX Pro W28 (main stick), Easton Cheechoo Pro Stock, CCM RBZ RNH pattern. Some overkill stuff for beer league, but some games can get rough and it's nice to have decent protection so I don't show up to work all banged up the next day lol. Just suited him up last weekend, and I got a few of the remaining things I was missing. So, now I can play more pickup games or even try to get on an Intro/Beginner team soon. Helmet: CCM Tacks 310 Cage: CCM FM 580 Shoulder Pads: STX Surgeon 3.2, just ordered and looking forward to their arrival Elbow Pads: Bauer Vapor EP4 (grabbed these used at PIAS, barely used condition, nice deal at $9) Shin Pads: Bauer NSX Pants: Bauer NSX Gloves: CCM Jetspeed FT350 Skates: Bauer Vapor x2.9 Sticks: Sher-wood Project 5 PP26, ~58 flex after cutting True A4.5 MC, ~68 flex after cutting Still trying to decide which blade I like better. I can stickhandle better with the True, but lift the puck more consistently with the Sher-wood. Don't think I can go wrong with either of those patterns anyway so it's all about preference - which I'll need a lot more ice time to figure which I'm more comfortable with.
