raganblink 82 Report post Posted May 17, 2010 RE: TSR stuffmy take: just like sauce hockey, they're buying gloves direct and getting custom colors and names stitched on and calling it "pro stock". they're misspelling names just in case a lawsuit ever emerges "dunlap" and "cheifs"? gimme a break, thats no mistake... and the fact that they have "TSR" stitched on some of the cuffs just reinforces my theory.just to clear something up;gloves are SMUtheir sticks are prostockencase that was interrupted as their sticks are SMU, too. shotty 7 Report post Posted May 17, 2010 firstly, it will be considered a charitable donation (which drives the price up on its own) and that said, i'm going to assume that businesses are placing these huge bids, secondly, not only is legitimate sidney crosby memorabilia insanely expensive, but those games that we witnessed are a huge part of canadian sports history and although we don't know for sure, this may have been the last time we see nhl players play for their country in the olympics for a long while. Ewhitz94 0 Report post Posted May 17, 2010 Yeah if you got the money, its a peice of history, and going to charity so why not? But if your just in to collecting gear like most of us, id take the car

Over a grand in 10 minutes. ha. that guy selling it just got loaded. But considering this was the most important olympics for canada, and they won, I don't really expect this to be expensive. 99% of the country would take that thing in a heartbeat for under 50 bucks. They're weeding out the people and finding the few that would take it for 40K.just read the end of auction; proceeds go to charity. if you bought this you could find a way to write all but a couple hundred bucks of it off. GuitarAwesome 1 Report post Posted May 18, 2010 Can't really rich people declare it as charitable donations, and get it back on their taxes? Seems like it's not that expensive for them, relatively speaking.

The guy's a huge Ovey/Russia fan and has the jersey, the helmet, the pants, the socks, the visor you name it. He's a mini Ovechkin minus the talent and shoots left lol

hamstercaster 2 Report post Posted May 18, 2010 That guy must get chirped so bad...Actually, with our bunch he doesn't. We just call him nuts for the price he paid for the Visor. That was last year actually when it was reported or at least he was told that there were only 6 made for resale. He doesn't get chirped with our bunch of guys at pick up but I don't know about the leagues he plays in if any. We've known the guy for a while and he's pretty laid back and a good guy at that too. He just likes looking good when hitting the ice and he likes know if he'll be playing white or dark before getting dress so he can dress accordingly lol.
