I just got one of those. Haven’t used it on the ice yet because it’s still a bit small for me but man the comfort and protection level is amazing.

I completely sympathize because I know how frustrating it can be trying multiple brands and models to just continue to skate in pain. Eventually you just say to hell with it and get traced/scanned. Ill never forget, when I was about 3 years into my adult hockey “career” I had my teammates ask if I had taken skating lessons. I told them nope, I just got skates that didn’t hurt. But apparently the difference was noticeable! One piece of advice for you and everyone else buying Trues: you don’t need to tie them anywhere near as tight as you may be used to. When you have that much wrap you dont need to crank the laces to pull the skate around the top of your foot like you would with other skates. -

My old VH (last version prior to True) are still mostly flawless. I would definitely have zero concerns about longevity. -
The return of Christian sticks?
IPv6Freely replied to thelaterskater's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
I knew it was a TH thing, I just said CCM because they were just a repaint of a low tier CCM model if I recall. But either way yeah what you said was definitely a more accurate way of putting it. I do remember them having Christian goalie sticks too. They had a cool diamond weave pattern on the paddle. I never ended up getting one though. -

I’ve started having pain over the last month or two. Just below where the big toe meets the foot. Almost like there’s something digging into the top of my foot there. I can’t figure out what it is. -

Like what CCM did with Titan a couple years ago? -
The only fishbowl I’ve used that didn’t fog was the original avision mask. Even their second version did. I’m curious about this one though now that I’m in a CCM bucket.

Hockey Padded Shirt? Options to beat the heat?
IPv6Freely replied to VegasHockey's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Same guy that made the Down Low shoulder pads I wear now. I wish he’d do similar again. -
Pasternak and Nylander are really close. I can see the Kopitar comparison for sure. Anyway, let’s get back on track.

Hockey Padded Shirt? Options to beat the heat?

I was going to suggest those CL shoulders too. Man we’re they light, and the foam didn’t absorb sweat. -
Pasternak is definitely not the first 88 that comes to mind
-
Hockey monkey has them, so does IW. Pure probably does too.

Hockey Padded Shirt? Options to beat the heat?

First thing I’d do is start wearing long sleeve compression shirts underneath. Hopefully you’re not wearing cotton at least. I wear a similar shirt (but mine has shoulder caps) and really like it but I don’t think it’s going to feel any cooler than normal shoulder pads. -
His helmets always look way too small for his head

Gloves with the best finger protection?

It’s not much better down here. The shipping cost is atrocious. So much so that I’ve passed on a number of items I wanted because of it. -

I would recommend that too unless that won’t work for you. -

I wouldn’t expect everyone to be able to. But I can.
