VH Footwear/TRUE by Scott Van Horne

Really? Heavy enough to tell a difference? I do not envy those who are bothered by a few dozen grams! -

Maybe they bought with the True holder and switched holders after? -
Sparx Skate Sharpener - At home sharpener

I probably wouldn’t bother. The one that comes with it is fine for most people. -
Looks like that was a good call :)

That doesn't change how unnecessarily douchey what you're suggesting would be.

That's an important point with VH. You can (and should) be tying your skate significantly less tightly than you're used to. The boot already wraps to your foot - you don't need to tighten it to gain more wrap. -

I would suggest not using superfeet. They should not be necessary for a boot built to your foot. -

You won’t need them. -
I put another $1000 into it a couple days ago.

Much longer than that! But still, you're right about them likely being swamped. @Buddy what timeline were you quoted? -

Nope sorry. -
How is doing more passes on the Sparx different from doing more passes on the Skatepal?

Hopefully! Because they can definitely add that support right into the boot for you. -
I'm very glad you're not in our leagues. You would not last. If nothing else, your team would be asking you to not come back.

Did you tell True about the pronation? -

Assuming you had True accommodate for your pronation (I hope so, that's kind of the point of custom molded skates) you should stick with the stock insoles as you won't need additional support. -

Correct you have to go through a dealer now. -

My experience is the same. Sharpen before every skate. I’m also a goalie who has far more blade damage than any player should, do this interval makes sense in my case. -

Thanks man. It was so sudden that I’m a bit lost right now. Totally in shock and scatterbrained. I guess better this than a long painful decline. First symptoms to letting him go was all less than an hour apart. Vet said about a 20% chance of recovery from THIS incident, and said he could almost guarantee it would happen again and soon. We were lucky to have been there with him to say goodbye. Can’t even imagine what it would have been like to have come home and found him. As for your other vent, I feel your pain. We can’t get anyone to show up. We started our last game with 5 skaters and had 6 to start the second period. We have about 20 on our roster, but maybe 5-6 that actually pay for the season up front. I guess paying per game makes it easy for people to just not show up. Am I the only one that plans their life around my games? “Sorry I cant go, I have hockey that night.”

We just had to euthanize our cat tonight. The hardest thing I’ve done in my entire life. I don’t know how I’m going to make it through this. He was my best friend.
