Awesome about the tongues, and even more awesome that they’d take care of the cosmetic issues as well! -

That brings up a question I've been meaning to ask. Is the only difference between the black and the white tongues the felt color? Or are they different? -
Nice gloves! Though I agree, I’d be disappointed too.

My VH has glue all over the place and the glued on colored accents (they’re not actually stitched on) are peeling off. But that was VH and I was okay with it. I expect better from True, though. The tongues I could almost understand if they changed the design at some point, but the bubbling should have never made it past QC. -

I think I’d be contacting them about it. I personally don’t think either of those things is acceptable. Tongues are obviously an easy fix, the bubbling I’m not so sure about. -

Don’t use photobucket - it’s garbage. Use imgur.com instead. -

Beautiful. Great packaging too. Much better than what my VH came in! Haha -
Anyone hiring? CCIE, JNCIE. Thanks.

Here's the latest video from pickup.

You're spot on. Getting 6-7 is one thing, but even with 10 we still have 4-5 who have been playing hockey for less than two years. That (and the lack of experience that comes with it) is our biggest problem, other than me and my play.
-
A bit of both. We routinely have 6 or 7 skaters this season. Our best defenceman left the team after last season and now we're generally running with two of the three D-men being from the division below us (rookie aka D6) so while they're pretty skilled (to be able to move up), they also make mistakes and don't have a ton of experience (so a lack of hockey sense). Things like reading the play in the offensive zone and knowing when they need to start backing off, or how to handle pressure in their own end is something they haven't yet developed. I also noticed that since we also have 3 guys that play forward that were also in rookie league within the last 12 months, there is absolutely no cycle. Everyone tries to either walk in off the side boards and deke people to get a shot, or just throw it towards the net. No passing. The D-men do the same. They get the puck and try to step around their man to get a closer shot, and nobody knows to draw back to cover them. So that's the rest of the team. For me, I don't think I've really changed that much but frustration level has definitely been increasing which isn't helping. I have had a really bad couple games as well. One a few weeks ago where I couldn't even catch a simple shot. I'd end up bobbling it every time. It was like my timing was off, or something. So overall there's a lot of factors in play. I'm a career GAA of almost 5, so that's not good. But when the other teams are given breakaways or grade-A scoring chances that can become bloated also. There was a time when our team was so good with the cycle and overall skill that even if I was struggling we could just outscore them 7-5 or whatever, but those days are gone. We've had about 90% roster turnover since I joined the team two years ago, with pretty much all the new faces being from the rookie league below (as in, guys who had literally never picked up a stick before until then). The other teams get their players from the divisions ABOVE ours. We add newbies, and they add guys who immediately step in as their best player. The league is super lopsided right now. Top team is 10-1. So I'm definitely not playing as well as I need to be, but neither is the team as a whole either.

I want to suggest that the champion gets all early games for the next season. Would be a whole hell of a lot better than the crappy t-shirt we get.
-
My captain would never email the director on my behalf (because why would HE care?), so I do it myself.
-
Not at all surprised that lower levels care more. The guys on my team give me crap for tracking my goalie stats as closely as I do (and emailing the league director to correct mistakes). It's not that I truly care so much as I'm just trying to see improvement in my own game. It's the same reason I use the GoPro and have occasionally worn my Apple Watch to get heart rate information while playing. I'm all about data, regardless of how largely meaningless it actually is.

Our refs can't get the goal scorer correct half the time. And you will almost never see more than one assist on a goal.

My issue was that the yellow insole wasn’t stiff enough and bunched up in the toe box. Had to replace it. -

I couldn't even get my VH on my feet before they were baked. There's really no point in even trying since you know they need baking anyway. I put mine on with a shoe horn. You can actually hear the air getting pushed out of the skate as I put my foot in, which is good because I can show people who give me funny looks for using a shoe horn why I'm doing it! -
We just got destroyed 8-3 and I am now 1-8-2 for this season.
