I don't understand why the boot being the same is a bad thing. -

I completely disagree with your assessment. -

I don’t understand... it’s the same skate minus tendon guard with a different runner. How do you like one but not the other? -
Beauty. Nice job Hillsy.

And another game of the same thing. 6 goals against. Couldn’t catch the puck. I think there were three goals that I didn’t catch cleanly and ended up in the net.
-
Just a shame it ended the way it did.
-
I had a similar one from nothing more than a hard pass that I got in the way of.

Three New Era fitted caps, all the same size and style, all of them fit drastically different. That's really frustrating.

I remember skating out I used to get hit on the inner thigh occasionally and it sucked. No padding there at all.

I like it too, actually. Makes it look a bit more finished. I'll likely order sometime in early 2018 or ask for a pair for Christmas. -
Not sure I'd classify this as "sweet", necessarily. But I just filed for US citizenship. I don't really want it, but it gives us the flexibility to move home without having to abandon my permanent residency status.

Yeah... I'm just not liking where my mindset is at. It's seriously like they score every time they get into our end clean, which is rare thanks to our pretty good D and good backchecking. Which is why the whole time I have it in my head that I hope the D doesn't let them get to the net or its a sure goal.

Yeah that's brutal also. This team is 7-1 in our league now, with a ridiculous goal differential. It's gotten pretty silly. Last season the league director actually talked to the other captains about the two guys they picked up that immediately became the best players in the league. We were like... whatever, its only two guys. Shut them down and the team still sucks. But this season they added 4-5 more. I'm hoping that they finally get their championship and then the director does something about it. We'll see. He's usually good about this sort of thing (really enforces the 8 game minimum for playoffs, and just the fact that he asked for input on the first two guys gives me some hope). To be honest I think what bothers me even more about them loading up like this is that OUR team promotes from the rookie league below. We now have 5 regulars that started in rookie league. Keeping in mind that we usually get 7-8 skaters per game, thats a pretty significant chunk. We also skate with the number we have. The only time we bring in subs is when they're considering joining us. Never have one-offs. The other teams will usually grab somebody from the D4 game before ours. I actually kind of like that (we actually beat a team a couple seasons ago with 5 skaters).

Confidence is gone. At a point where I hope they don’t get any shots because I doubt I’ll make the save.
-
2 or 3 shitty players mixed into a group of D4 guys does not make a D5 team.

Thanks @JR Boucicaut it’s great to get somebody who really knows their stuff giving it a shot. Until now all we had were people like me who don’t truly know what a good sharpening is like (but definitely know what a bad one feels like!) -

Unfortunately no, it’s different. Proprietary holder. Screw is at the back. -

Pretty sure you can still submit a tracing directly. I’ve also read that they keep your info on file for future pairs which is good for me when I order my next pair. -

Interesting, but makes sense!
