SCUBASTEVE 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2010 I don't really mind them doing it on ebay. If they told me in store that they were pro stock, that would be different. I just see it as business as usual.the reasson why a lot of the sticks are listed pro stock is because you cannot return a stick that is listed as prostock on ebay... it is almost like a guaranteed sale for these fools.... A prostock stick can't bem returned to the manufactuer. By listing the stick as prostock, that doesn't make it not returnable. The seller decides whether or not they would allow returns. VakarLajos 5 Report post Posted May 25, 2010 There's a difference between having something "listed" as pro-stock and the stick actually being "pro-stock". I can sell a retail X60 and list it as "pro-stock". It doesn't mean it's pro-stock and not available for a warranty. Bauer can decide they will honor the warranty. CTHockey 2 Report post Posted May 25, 2010 Whether returns are accepted or not, 99% of the time Ebay/Paypal will take sides with the buyer and allow the item to be returned to the seller. I dont allow returns because when dealing with pro stock items its very time consuming to describe every little detail that might be different from the stock version of the item. WHen it comes to sticks I take a picture of the curve and locate the flex the best I can. Yet I still have people say the curve is not what they wanted or the stick is too flexy. Then you have to deal with shipping returns and theres always a chance of breakage when shipping sticks. So even though I clearly state no returns, Paypal will usually grant a return for a full refund because the buyer will start a "Item not as described" claim. Its bullshit like that, that makes me love/hate ebay!!!As far as warranty goes, NO maufactorer will honor a warranty on any item purchased on ebay unless the seller is a licensed dealer and are allowed to sell on Ebay. In that case theres very few licensed dealers on Ebay, most sellers are closet sellers who own retail stores but wish to remain anoymous, and are just trying to get rid of stock!! Its bullshit like that, that makes me love/hate ebay!!!Having mostly negative experiences with this rule, I sometimes wonder if I can buy a pair of TotalOne skates on eBay, open a "Item not as described" case claiming I received a half-eaten sandwich instead of TOs, and return the sandwich for a full refund. And I bet I'd win too... Manufactures don't sell prostock sticks directly on ebay. You can return it to the seller.................

uclahockey707 1 Report post Posted May 26, 2010 ^^^the nylon vintage gloves aren't pro stock, they were an Easton release up in Canada to support the demand for vintge gloves. None of those were worn by anyone on the Habs. The nylon gloves have been selling for $150-$200 on eBay but retail up in Canada for $100. I had a pair, very low quality. But yeah, that seller is a total idiot...hate that guy :)
