  1. Ah. I see. That makes sense. The forward pitch could easily do that.
  2. If you don't mind me asking, why the tiredness?
  3. I was going to say the same exact thing. This design seems much quieter in comparison to its predecessor. Similar to the Mako progression. And yes, seeing them in person definitely helped too!
  4. I know, right ha? I should leave a roll of clear in bag from now on ha. I didn't feel like bumming any off of someone else. I should've: the dress game suffered big time haha.
  5. All I'm doing is imparting knowledge to the peoples haha...
  6. I'd like one for myself also. The silver lining, for me, is that I could write this off on my taxes being a referee ha. It's an impressive item.
  7. Since I've last posted to this thread, I've acquired 2 Martin guitars: 000-17SM and HD-35. Get to use both for church.
  8. That seems more than feasible. With this so-so job market, beggars can't be choosers.
  9. Ah. That never crossed my mind. It could be. I know I saw an article talking about the same thing in regards Shane Doan and Jarome Iginla.
  10. https://www.nhl.com/news/nashville-predators-sign-ryan-johansen-to-contract/c-290185014?tid=281072352 I think this happened over SJ9 weekend: $8M AAV through 2024-25. It does look like Ryan Johansen is coming into his own. It looks like both CBJ and NSH have, and will, benefit from the Seth Jones-RJ trade.
  11. https://www.nhl.com/news/mike-fisher-announces-retirement-from-nhl/c-290578282 Say it ain't so haha. After 17 years, Fisher looks to move on the the next chapter of his life. Good for him. Definitely was a pro's pro.
  12. Beautiful save at the 4:30 mark. And I blame my lack of hustle on my socks being way too big haha. Nice vid.
  13. Only been to Boston a couple of times back in my 'prime' as a hockey player and instantly connected with the city. Look forward to when I get to visit again.
  14. Absolutely. And I was so bummed when the same size didn't work for me in the Mako II's and timing wasn't on my side.
  15. Ah. I see. Pretty much. I had the original Mako skates and loved them. Got rid of them only because one boot cracked and the other one wasn't too far off. I got a pair of Mako II skates in the same size and it didn't fit nearly as well. I couldn't find any Mako II's that I could work with size-wise so I went over the Bauer 1X's. I like them but like the Mako fit/performance better. The TRUE skates will be my replacement when the time comes. I was impressed with the build. And to see that more pros are wearing these skates brings some credence to point of giving them a shot.
  16. My man! Job well done. Is that a Flyers Skate Zone? If it is, which one?
  17. Totally agree! As Mako fans, this is the skate we've been looking for.
  18. Not sure why one would be so concerned about his defensive skills when he puts up points. But who am I ha? I'd leave him at wing. CBJ has other plans.
  19. I could be wrong but I'd think Panarin is better off playing the wing. It gives him more room to do his thing offensively.
  20. Directly from the article: 'The deal has a $5.5 million annual average value and leaves the Blues a little over $2 million below the salary cap.' There wasn't much room to work with for Blues' mgmt.
  21. http://www.stltoday.com/sports/hockey/professional/morning-skate/blues-sign-parayko-to-five-year-million-deal/article_e8ac9acd-c673-50c3-8919-5cf92dc2ed38.html Title says it all. STL has Colton under contract till 2022. I like the signing as Parayko is a stud who should only get better.
  22. Interesting. I know that as once as the my speed plates start to rattle when I shake my boot, it is time for me to re-bake. For me, they are a little high maintenance for me ha. I'm only using them because they came with my 1Xs. Whenever they are due to be replaced, I'll go back to SuperFeet.
  23. I'm in no need of new skates, but I like what I'm seeing out of TrueVH. When I'm due for a new pair, I hope to be able to try out this new process.
