Hi, I use Sherwood PP28 which is same in lie and round toe shape as Bauer PM09 (3/8" curve), but the Sherwood has more curve (1/2" curve).
-
Looks like he does skip the top eyelets, with shot blocker on top.
-
I didn't know that. Looks like he's got the L20.1 too.

Carey Price was wearing LeFevre pads, with no logos, at the latest Montreal Canadiens' practices. But, he was wearing his white CCM pads for their latest full ice scrimmage.

I find the CCM helmet fits my head pretty well since the 90s. My latest model, Fitlite, has that dial in the back to further tighten it down or loosen it, while I'm on the bench if I need to.

Wow, three stents. Well, the one they put a stent in was 100% blocked. I read through these handouts they gave me. I know what I can't eat anymore and what I should be eating. I'm on blood thinners too, and now, I can't get hip surgery or cortisone shots because of it. Hope you have fun at your next game.

Ha ha, 2020 has turned out more awful than usual. I had a mild hear attack on Wednesday early morning, like 1 AM. I though it was heartburn. Not knowing what a heart attack felt like, I didn't think it was one. I had a burning sensation in my lungs, but no heavy chest pressure, like I read about. It wasn't going away so I googled it. It was a symptom of angina, so I went to the emergency room. So, I ended up getting a stent in one of my arteries that was blocked off by plaque. I got in soon, so there wasn't heart muscle damage fortunately. I got released yesterday after a getting a test on other arteries they thought might be clogged. Anyway, my left hip pain has come back, but I find out from talking with the cardiologist that I can't get any major surgeries done for at least six months because I am on this anti-coagulant medication that prevents blood from clotting, and you have to get off those kinds of meds before getting a hip replacement or you could bleed to death. Anyway, hockey will now be a sport to watch. Not sure if I can play in the future. Anyone have a heart attack and later got back into ice hockey?

There's been limited ice time and the men's league is about to start up this week. Figure skating classes are starting up next week. I'm not playing summer league for different reasons. Once summer league is over, they plan on having the regular fall-winter men's league season to start as usual. And, unless things change and they dial it back, there will be youth hockey in the fall. But the travel leagues that usually travel to neighboring states for games might change their schedule to just have intra-state games only.

If you use 2-part epoxy, it will connect pretty good (as in the softer material will give away before the epoxy gives away) and the epoxy hardens to a solid state like plastic. Mix the two parts together (per the manufacturers directions), apply to the surfaces you want to glue. Clamp together with a c-clamp or other clamp. Let it dry (or cure if you want to use the technical term).

Our league canceled the remainder of the 2019-20 winter season. People can apply a discount to upcoming seasons. We are starting summer season on July 13. Up to 8 players allowed in the locker room, I guess to allow at least the goalie to suit up, and everyone suits up in the lobby with the expectation you arrive most suited up. Only one allowed in the penalty box and a shoot out for penalties when there's one guy in the box already. They are expanding the benches so we aren't too close to each other. And anyone using the locker rooms have to be out 15 minutes after a game is done, no showers. I knew this one teammate from a previous team who unsuited faster than anyone else. He was out the door about the time I got the tape off my socks.

I'm not a fan of the CCM Axis graphics. But Premier II and Eflex 4 graphics were getting old. Their chest protectors and pants weren't made/designed by LeFevere, so those pieces aren't affected by LeFevre going away. I had a Koho chestie years ago with JDP elbow caps. Not sure if they are better without them though.

Bauer Shield For Corona Virus

Virginia. It gets hot in the spring, summer, and fall, so there's a lot of humidity in the rink. -

Wow, I wonder if they have tested that on ice. I have that mask. I use anti-fog spray. But it wears out by the second or third period. Sooner during the summer. Air flow from skating makes the condensation go away. If that's a solid blue plastic thingy, it's going to be fog-topia. -
Yep, totally idiotic. So they had like 4 players and 1 goalie. and at one point in the video, they showed the players were about 3 feet away from each other, waiting their turn to shoot on the goalie. https://www.nhl.com/fr/canadiens/video/en-coulisses-phase-2/t-277634034/c-5385592

I watched a video of the Montreal Canadiens practicing. It was pretty lame. Just a couple guys on the ice shooting. No team drills.
-
I kind of wonder how ill the Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder players after they contracted COVID-19. They all survived.

Not sure if this is the beginning of the end of CCM goalie equipment. https://www.goaliemonkey.com/ccm-axis-goalie-equipment

What hockey stuff have you done during quarentine?
caveman27 replied to MyBoxersSayJoe's topic in General Hockey Discussions
I have that same problem. The thing I hate is that the ice is real smooth in the first period so I can let the puck glide while moving and I don't need to look down. When it's the third period and the ice is rough (because we aren't cleaning the ice between periods), the puck can slow down so I double-check the puck's location before shooting so I know the puck is where I want it to be. I can fire a nice, powerful, low slap shot. I really feel the mid-kick blast the puck... but it's two to three feet wide of the net after I look up. 🙄 -

Nothing hockey specific. Just working out by running and doing pull ups. -
The NHL cleared the way Thursday for players to return to practice rinks next week and firmed up its playoff format even as a ninth player tested positive for the coronavirus. After unveiling the final details of its 24-team plan if the season is able to resume this summer, the league said teams could reopen facilities and players could take part in limited, voluntary workouts beginning Monday. The NHL and NHL Players' Association must still iron out health and safety protocols before moving ahead with training camps and games. Players can skate in groups of up to six at a time under ''phase 2,'' which includes specific instructions on testing, mask-wearing and temperature checks. It's another step closer to the ice after the league said every playoff series will be a best-of-seven format after the initial qualifying round and teams will be reseeded throughout. https://sports.yahoo.com/nhl-finalizes-playoff-format-pens-player-tests-positive-192403195--nhl.html

Whether you like him or not, here's the video of him driving in goalie pants, jock and chestie to get to a frozen pond. -

Oh, he also had his skates off. Well, he knows he can't make in the NHL. He used to have an attitude that he was going to make it to the pros. Anyway, he is trying to make it into lower-level college hockey league and eventually, a low-level pro league, like SPHL. I believe one of his goalie coaches gave him an honest assessment of his ceiling. He knows he was cocky in the past and is embarrassed of his earlier videos. -
Interesting details when NHL gets back to playing games. https://nhl.bamcontent.com/images/assets/binary/317017544/binary-file/file.pdf No sharing of water bottles. Use of a water bottle or Gatorade in the penalty box is thrown away after a player leaves the penalty box. No sharing of towels. Every surface in locker rooms, showers, benches, workout rooms, etc. have to be sanitized. Ton of rules.
