You're better off looking at eBay or sidelineswap for pro-stock sticks. Better prices and better selection. Downside of pro-stock is it's a lot more work. You really need to know what you are buying. Be prepared to buy in bulk if you find something you like. You may never get another chance at it.
-
Don't bother. There is no super secret stick company out there churning out elite twigs at half the cost. Start looking into pro-stocks and closeouts on previous years top models. If that's not your thing. There are plenty of really good sticks in the $120-150 range.

I've played around a bit with the Fire rings. Mixed results really. First off, nothing at all like a Blackstone FBV. Coming from a 3/4ROH I found the 3/4 Fire did not have the same level of grip as the 3/4ROH. I switched to the 5/8 Fire which felt fairly close to my 3/4ROH. So if you want a Fire ring that's close to your regular hollow, I suggest going one step sharper. So if you're using a 5/8ROH, get a 1/2 Fire. My advice would be to dial in what ROH works then make the switch to a Fire ring....remember to go one step sharper. I'd start with a 5/8ROH.

I've done litterly tons of PT (hip, knee x2, ankle, hand and elbow/bicep) and it definitely helps. Seems silly because what they have you do is so simple. I'd give the thumbhole brace a go without tape. You might find your wrist is working against the tape making things worse. The other thing I tried was that stretchy tape you see guys use on the top hand of their sticks. It adds a decent level of support. It can be a bit costly to use consistently which is why I went for the soft brace.

Complete with white gloves and skate lace shin wraps...good Lord.

Rumors are now fact. Kessel was dealt to the Coyotes along with D Dane Birks and a 2021 4th rounder for Alex Galchynuk, Pierre-Oliver Joesph.

I've worked through various bouts of tendonitis. Remember, tendonitis is caused by overuse, so rest is about the only thing you can do. Laid back or not, there is something about hockey that aggrivates your wrist. I'd restart the rest thing and look into a soft wrist brace when you return. The KT tape is nice but doesn't offer the type of support you need during recovery. I bought some cheapo brace from CVS when my wrist bothered me. I used KT after ditching the brace.

When you find something you like...well, you know. From top to bottom 4 Pro-Stock Nexus 2016 1N's 82 flex P28's, 2 clear (DeAngelo) & 2 grip (NCAA) 1 Pro-Stock Alpha QX 75flex P28, (EK65, T8 build)

But the people who buy are saying "screw that, move on". Both sides have valid points. However what seems to be overlooked by one half is it's up to the consumer how they want to spend their money. Some people are willing to deal with a little BS, others aren't. Me, if spent that kind of cash on a custom made skate and it was off by that much, no way I do business with that company again. If they didn't fit and I got that same response from True, no way I go back, not in a million years. Still baffles me how many screw ups there are on an item made specifically to the customers foot. Maybe they should have refined their process before putting time and effort into a holder.
-
Man, glad you guys don't offer restaurant recommendations. The OP is obviously frustrated with True. He was promised and paid for a product and service he did not receive. When he pointed it out, their response was in his opinion unsatisfactory. So why the hell would he continue to do business with them.... I wouldn't.

I found the puck feel on the QX to be miles better than the QRL and the QX was a bit more forgiving when it came to hand placement. I'd say blade lie and flex rating are far more important than kick point or blade pattern.
-
Been saying that for years. Guess people are content with what the manufacturers tell them.
-
Good call, couldn't agree more. Me, I'd start with a P88. As you progress you'll likely start feeling like tweaks to the curve may help make things easier, like an open face or more curve at the toe. One thing is for certain, stay the hell away from a P28/W28 until you really know what you want.
-
I believe Tydan and Bionic are the only ones. Could be more that I am not familiar with though.
-
If you're off at say the heel, you should be off the same amount at every point on the blade. The carriage position is fixed as is the blade placement. So there is no way it can ride from left edge to right edge. I could be wrong, but thats how I understand it. Also keep in mind that most steel is punched. So it's not perfectly flat. If it's not perfectly flat, using the above method may give you a false reading.

You can reach in and move the alignment wheel closer to the alignment tool by simply pushing up on the wheel.
-
That's what tipped me off.

Think you guys are missing the point, or I'm misunderstanding the question. He's looking to buy end plugs in bulk so he can apply his team logo to them. For the record, not everyone tapes over the end plug, I don't. Then again I glue mine in place.

@Monty22 Reports are out. Bergeron, groin. Marchand, wrist, abdomen & groin. Pasta, thumb was reaggravated in the CBJ series. Noel Accari was playing with a fractured sternum and left in a walking boot after a shot block in game 7. John Moore was playing with a broken humorous which requires surgery, he's out 6 months. Chara had multiple jaw fractures and a lower body injury that kept him out of game 4 of the ECF. Can you imagine playing against St Louis with a fractured sternum, good Lord that's some balls.
-
@flip12man give it a rest. It wasn't a dive. The entire hockey world calls it a trip and say it was a call that the refs missed. The series can be summed up in one stat. Marchand, Bergeron, Krejci & Pasta combined had one 5 on 5 goal in the finals. That's your #1 line and your second line center. The only goal you could manage in game 7 was from Matt Grzelyck.
-
Not the best analogy. That 1000hp car isn't made for traffic, really not even meant to be used as a daily driver. Whats a composite outsole cost Bauer per skate, a few bucks? It's obvious Bauer is cutting corners in areas where those buying it won't care and/or won't notice a difference.
-
The only problem with putting Backed back in is it really slows down Krejci and DeBrusk. If they manage to win it, Backes will be ready to celebrate with the guys. I suspect Chara hands it him first ala Joe Sakic.
-
And at this point, a quick release holder is simply keeping up with the times.
-
Appreantly same crew as game 6. Not sure if that means anything but generally, they let the boys play.
-
I agree. You don't get to game 7 by accident. That said, this Bruins team has shown us they play their best hockey when their back is against the wall. Now you have Rask dialed back in and the top two lines are going. Anything is possible, but not looking good for STL.
