One off custom stiched/twill hockey jerseys
stick9 replied to hockechamp14's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
There are a number of places that can do that though some require a minimum order quantity. Be prepared to pay a $100+ per. Give 5ive Hole a try. Charlie does all the MSH events jerseys as well as a number of Mod Squad members beer league teams. https://www.5ivehole.com/ -
Selling a few items I obtained from attending Mod Squad Hockey events. Used Custom Winterfest Warrior Covert Hockey Gloves, size 14", Navy w/Carolina Blue. Palms and gloves are still in great shape. $70 Like New (worn once) Custom Winterfest Warrior Shell, size Medium. Stripes and logos are stitched not printed. Shell will fit over Medium pants. $25 All prices include shipping within North America.

Or drill new holes and use the new tongue...

I was told that most INT was made the same as SR gear because it was a popular option for elite adult female players and smaller adult males. I don't know if that still applies. I'd go with what fits he best regardless whats on the label.

What is the oddest hockey equipment ever?
stick9 replied to burrheadjr's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Nike had some sticks like that. I think Innovative made them...they may have had their own version too. The last few generations of Ribcor sticks do something similar. -
The 'bauers aren't as moldable as brand X' stance isn't entirely accurate. Ive seen some pretty wild punches on Bauer's. I've personally had Bauer's clamped and hand shaped to my feet. It took a bit more effort but it's definitely doable. You'd think if True and CCM had a distinct advantage in terms fit they'd have a bigger share of the pro player market.

You'd be surprised, though I may have called it slayer neck, obvious Tom A reference. -
If youre comfortable in a 70k you might be better off in a standard fit CCM. My tapered 100k pros have a lot less volume than my retail 70k's. Tapered 100ks fit very similar to pre fit system era vapors.

That was going to be my entry. Since it's covered. How about something a bit more recent, https://driblades.com/ -
We can't answer that, only he can. We can however add input on the value and legitimacy of the skate.

400 for new Canadian made ccms is an excellent deal.

I have a couple of retail FT3's (non pro version). They're great sticks. Definitely worth a try. If I had to describe the hybrid kick point I'd say it's feels like a mid kick but shoots like a low kick. Bottom hand placement isn't as critical as other sticks.

Hockey skating Blades Sharpness Problem
stick9 replied to hypersouza's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Have them sharpened to whatever you had the Kohos sharpened to and try again. Chances are the newer skates have a deeper hollow and if I had to guess a longer profile. -
That might be a you thing, not a CCM thing. Which is fine. It's impossible to fit everyone's foot shape. As for the holder mount. Being off by that little. Maybe you could adjust your profile to compensate for the difference. I do agree you about it possibly being mental. If you think it, chances are you'll think it's an issue even if it's not.

I came from 70ks and now wear 100k pros. I too found the 70ks to be the most comfortable skate I have ever worn. The ankle padding was sublime...I have plates and screws on my ankle. It's always a problem area for me. Like the OP I found the 100ks ankle padding to not be up to par with the 70ks. I'd say bake them again and see if that helps. That worked for me but I was still a bit disappointed. Other than that. Keep yours eyes out for NOS 70K/80k's.

Has CCM officially announced that? We've heard lots of rumors but nothing yet from CCM.

Sticks have since been removed.

^^ This... Also, an edge checker is a must have.

First thing that pops is a side by side comp with the 28 and 92.
-
They look better, but the red band is still way too big.
-
Too bad they didn't merge the graphics...

The industry as a whole has been brutal at this sort of thing. Flex ratings should be a standard that all brands follow. A 75 flex warrior should feel roughly the same as a 75 flex Bauer. I know there are other factors at play like kick point but it should be relatively close.

I've been using some zero cushion ski socks from Smartwool lately. Excellent socks. JMO ski socks are better at being skate socks than most skate socks. Way more variety too.

Honestly, I bet it's more mental than anything else. Seems like every time he tries something new once he has an off night, it's right back to his old stuff. Guys like than can fly in just about any skate.
