  1. The biggest error in the testing is still the method in which they are obtaining data. Measuring impact and rotational effects oh Helmets with different shapes using a form with uniform shape just isn’t a good method, unless something has changed since I last looked at it. This is why standardized testing methods exist. Keep your re-akt, so long as it’s tbe helmet that best fits your head
  2. You should aim for the corners, not the goalies head. 😉
  3. Crazy. Just if Friday we were talking about Dick Dale in the lab and I played a bunch of his songs
  4. Difference between a refresh and a full grind. We’ve already been over this
  5. So far I have the elbows and shoulders (top of line versions) and really like them both as good values. Perfectly happy with elbows, and mostly like the shoulder pads outside of how they rest on my collarbone. Definitely a fan of the line. Looking to try shins next!
  6. Wow those lightning 3rds are bad. Looks like the arms were printed separately on a printer with the black ink cartridge running out
  7. For what it’s worth, I’m less annoyed with the sleeve than I originally thought I’d be, although I’m not one of the quoted people. Didn’t look too much into it, but I fee it can be removed fairly easy
  8. Found another angle. Probably doesn’t hit the hand, but an inch or two from possibly being a serious injury.
  9. The way his glove comes off makes it seem like he gets more than just the stick. Potentially very dangerous, probably worth a fine, but I don’t think they’ll do anything
  10. It’s not clear from the photo, but I wonder if they’ve considered wear on the sides of the front of the skate, where most manufacturers put wear patches. The sides of the skate can take a beating in roller and I don’t see anything to mitigate that here
  11. Skated three days in a row and my knee held up pretty well. First time I’ve been able to do back to backs since I hurt it in January. Not 100%, but good to see some marked improvement! Now I just need this wrist issue to go away.
  12. They approach eachother from the front, and both drop the gloves. maybe instigator, but not suspension worthy.
  13. I don't see how only the shop can be considered in error here. it should NEVER be acceptable to just add padding to the toe of a custom skate to get the length right, and if I was in the business of custom skates, I would NEVER listen to a shop even if they were the ones requesting that. I have the feeling that some people would just defend True no matter what they do, and even after they have accepted responsibility. we get it, CCM and Bauer customs also have issues, but that's not the topic of debate here. In this case, their process and responses have let down the customer, not the other two companies.
  14. I don’t think they have enough customers to be worth an acquisition. It’s a nice niche product, but not at the level that a company would want to acquire them, especially if they are not going to use the technology
  15. I think he’s faulting true because their “fix” was just to use padded material to stuff the toe box. I’m pretty sure the LHS didn’t say “just stuff material in the toe box”
  16. He is also now in a Warrior bucket at camp too, so seems he’s fully made the switch. Asked him how he was liking the warrior gear and he said he loved it. Didn’t want to ask him any of the business end stuff however
  17. Interesting to see if it caries into the season. Makes sense if he likes the stuff as warrior is local
  18. I’m just stating my observation, but I guess you’re point of view is the only one that matters here
  19. You’re way overstating a level of “free promotion” vs how much the product sells itself. Most of the posts in this thread have been questions and answers. Is it The sites fault most people who have bought one are satisfied? JR hasn’t promoted the machine at all, if anything it competes with his own business. the most recent posts you have responded after are someone listing pros and cons, and another person mentioning they’d have a hard time spending the current price on it......
  20. Only tried Fire for about 6 skates. Way prefer a true FBV
  21. Your situation pretty much sums up why I’ve never even gotten to the point of trying one of these sticks. Just bought an EK15 for 90$.
  22. Its a fairly common issue. When I had my m8s converted to edge holder, it was mentioned to me that Makos have a lot of rivet issues. not too worried since I got my pairs pretty cheap.
  23. That’s the problem with these “stamp your name on generic ordered sticks”. Once you tag on shipping and a warranty, you’re just better off in a clearance twig
  24. YouTube hockey reviewers will make videos for any companies that will give them free stuff to review. Flex fenders technology sounds like a random buzz word you tag onto a product.
  25. Columbus still o-for in playoffs. Big difference in playing an elite team like the Pens upcoming for Washington
