I like the clean, glossy carbon fiber on the heel area. The rest of the skate looks like garbage, though.

The hotels in Edmonton and Toronto are probably doing well .

CCM Fitlite scored one star. I had a minor concussion in a game last year. Not sure if a different helmet could have been better or not.

Carter Hart in L12.1

Juuse Saros in CCM Axis.

Seymon Varlamov in L20.1 Watched highlight reel of the games today, where Varlamov and Corey Crawford are in their LeFevre pads.

Looks like Jonathan Bernier had switched before March. Not really following him lately. Interesting strap set up. No heel strap. No lower leg strap. Landing pad strap goes down to the upper leg.

Comparison reasons.

Hmm, good point. Maybe he got to test the different models out at the LeFevre factory and liked the L12.1 the best.
-
His GAA was lower with CCM/LeFevre designed pads. So maybe, he wants to get back into familiar gear considering he went with the L12.1 instead of the L20.1... that's just a guess.

He was in Reebok Premier XLT gear, that has "LeFevre" on all the patches and print, when he was with the Ducks. Weird that XLT is "old" gear. It doesn't feel that long ago. Maybe the new cool thing will be to have label-less LeFevre gear?

I've bought nothing. I had bought what I needed last year and still have stuff leftover, like tape, and gear is still in great condition from playing once a week.

"Pre-playoff exhibition" game. Of course, no one wanted to get injured during a pointless exhibition game so guys were playing the game dialed back. I'm sure things will get turned up during the playoffs.

Looking for undershirt to help with moving elbows
caveman27 replied to justinpryor's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Might depend on your elbow pad design too. What brand/model are you wearing? I changed to using Easton elbow pads for it's way to clamp down and not move around. -
I'll have to wait until this Saturday to watch games on NBC.

Those are angina symptoms. I just had a stent put in last week, literally. If you survived that (chest pressure, left arm tingly), then you might be close to, but not 100% blockage of an artery or arteries.

[PLAY-IN] (5) Pittsburgh Penguins vs. (12) Montreal Canadiens
caveman27 replied to IPv6Freely's topic in 2020 NHL Playoffs
These are my two favorite teams in the league. I'm hoping Montreal will win it, but I think Pittsburgh has the offense to win the series. Price is my favorite goalie. Malkin is my favorite player. Long term, even if Montreal wins this series, they don't have the total package to get into Stanley Cup compared to other teams. -
[PLAY-IN] (6) Carolina Hurricanes vs. (11) New York Rangers
caveman27 replied to IPv6Freely's topic in 2020 NHL Playoffs
It's kind of hard to judge without seeing them on the ice in game play. I am expecting a couple upsets in the play-offs. I picked Rangers in 5 though based on their roster. -
PP28 is more open than PM09. If you don't like open curve, then you wouldn't like PP28.
-
It's an interesting logo and team name. The 3 different blue colors are a lot. But, it gives some interesting color options for goalie gear. I wonder if they'll be serving octopus or squid in the arena restaurants. 😊
-
Hi, I use Sherwood PP28 which is same in lie and round toe shape as Bauer PM09 (3/8" curve), but the Sherwood has more curve (1/2" curve).
-
Looks like he does skip the top eyelets, with shot blocker on top.
-
I didn't know that. Looks like he's got the L20.1 too.
