And better looking than all this neon orange on white/black crap. I know, I'm probably in the minority.

I am in complete agreement with you. I don't like the new design that I've been seeing.

I also love the shafts with a solid color body and simple white letters. I loved the look of the old M-1 and L-2, the first synergies, the blue synergies (I'm a sucker for that blue). It's the same for bike frames. These swoopy Pepsi slashes are just goofy plumage on what are impressively manufactured pieces. Like bike frames, I like them best with the simplest paint jobs.

Whats with the cag one?

Zach

Its a cag one that's been programmed for pro-balance... A profiling system. That's the 35/65 profiles you see on the list. The first number is distance in mm the flat starts (measured from blade center to heel. The second number is flat length in mm. So a 35/65, has a flat 30mm long from center to toe, and 35 mm from center to heel, giving a forward pitch....

Easton has 2 different colorways coming out for the 2 different models.

Mayson Raymonds stick looks identical to those eastons in the islanders room but instead of orange and black they were white and black.

About halfway down the page is a pic of the protector that Roenick wore when he had his jaw broken. I'm pretty sure he wore a similar design both times that it happened.

Can you imagine the sweet silence that injury brought to his friends and family.

Anyone know if Malkin/Grabo and I think Neal are using a new not released Easton stick? It's RS black on the forehand and Mako white on the back.

Part of the new V9E stick line. Replaces both the Stealth and Mako stick lines.

The black and white version is the V9 and the black and orange is the V9E(retail colors). You will see lots more of the guys in the NHL use the black and the white version despite the construction for obvious reasons.

I've read about the existence of the upcoming V line, but anyone know why Easton is dumping one older line (Stealth) and one new line (Mako) to consolidate everything under another totally new name? I mean, Dump Synergy, add Mako, now dump Mako plus venerable Stealth?

All upcomming sticks will be under the Velocity line. Name changes happen, consolidating everything under the same name makes it a bit easier.

This is pure speculation on my part.

Easton-Bell has had declining sales for a while now. Moving to one line of sticks, less overall sticks, and the six month release plan allows them to spend less money on development overall, and less marketing money overall. Repping one line of sticks versus two. Plus, six month releases will increase their overall sales, supposedly. It'll leave dealers with a lot of dead stock, bit we'll see.

I don't know how it'll effect the protective lines, but I'd be willing to bet that 'Velocity' will be the next skate as well. Makes sense to me because of how much they were emphasizing speed with the Mako skate.

From what I know Easton wont continue with the 6 month releases.

Both Mako and RS updates were needed rather quickly for issues customers were having(blade problems). Do you blame them?

Let me start by saying I’m an Easton fan. I'm very excited for Easton and the new line of sticks. However if the issue is decline in sales and revenue, I say stick (no pun intended) with what your good at. Cut the fat and move on. They have yet to make a successful skate, yet they continue to spend money year after year on them. Don’t get me wrong, I loved my S15's however the majority did not. Even Zetts wore one of the oldest pair they made when new models were coming out year after year. And even a lot of their signed athletes still wear another brand. Again, stick with what you're good at.

Or at least try to see what the problem is...is it RD, is it poor market research, etc. The reason I say this is b/c Bauer was sort of the inverse of Easton, correct me if I'm wrong, as in Bauer was primarily a skate company, entered the OPS stick market w/ a few years of mediocre sticks but now, for whatever reason, make IMO some of, if not the best sticks on the market.
