I ordered at the lowest price and I got the same message. Looks like week 33 is August 10-16. Thankyou Marsblade for the update. I’ll stop standing by the door waiting for the UPS guy until August.

I'm on my 11th year of playing hockey post-stent placement. I had what the cardiology world refers to as the Widow Maker back in December of 2008. I wasn't on a traditional blood thinner like Cumidin but I did take Plavix for a while. I had to be careful not to get cut just the same and bruising was pretty bad if I took a puck to a soft area. Here is what will happen. For at least the first few months you will strictly adhere to your dietary recommendations. If you were a drinker then you'll most like cut yourself back to no more than 2 adult beverages on a given day. I began mixing the non-alcoholic beers into my routine and still do even though I have become a little more lax in that regard. You will become acutely aware of every new sensation in your body and experience many anxious moments when something feels "strange". Relax, most of them are just normal aches and pains that you never thought twice about before your diagnosis. That said, be mindful of the warning signs and don't be embarrassed when you overreact with a trip to the ER only to stay overnight and be told you're fine. It will happen and better safe than sorry. I was about 11 months past getting my stent when I felt weird and disconnected one morning. Spent a night in the hospital followed by a stress test the next morning to find that it was nothing. You may also become obsessive with taking your blood pressure at home. I would do it every morning and if I didn't quite like the reading then I would do it again. Sometimes up to 4-5 times in a row. This is counter productive for 2 reasons. First, you'll make yourself anxious which will increase the readings and second because taking so many within a relatively short amount of time may also do the same. I've relaxed about taking the readings so often but now I can feel what a tester is listening for and if I can see the dial or monitor screen am able to tell what the reading will be before they do. One thing that I always keep in mind and keeps me from panicking is this; if you can recreate a pain or ache with touch or movement then it is most likely exoskeletal or muscular. You will get back on the ice. For me, it was 3 months after my cardiac event and going thru 12 weeks of cardiac rehab (basically 3 weekly sessions of increasing effort exercise under the watchful eye of trained specialists). There was no better feeling than getting back out there. You will check your heart rate on the bench and will be more aware of your breathing recovery. It is all part of the process.

The time has come!!!! Just got invited to a small private skate on Friday and I'm going. Only 10 guys. Invite only for guys who take the pandemic seriously and have been distancing and wearing masks. No locker rooms. No scrimmage. Just skill drills and shooting. No locker room either. This feels safe and I am going to take the dive and play!!! Very psyched. It will also be the first time I am on the ice since my stents were put in so it'll be great to see how I feel on the ice now.

Yea, I ordered my at the $99 (lowest) price point. The only thing that the arrival of the R1 chassis is when I start to look for a pair of ice hockey boots to convert over to inline.

I can tell you that a few of my friends who were on the fence about buying Trues in the past are going to jump at the lower end model. I'm probably going to get my oldest son a pair of TF7s, and keep them for when my youngest fit into before selling them to another hockey parent.

It's possible, but I doubt it honestly. A large portion of the second have market is pro returns, which are many times the same price as TF7s. I just got brand new pro returns for 400 total. In the US, TF7s will go for 330+tax. In NY that will end up being more than 350. I think True is just going to take a larger chunk of the market now

New bake protocol is 5-6 mins. total (you could flip at 2.5-3 minutes). SVH discussed it in the Instagram Live from last week. I’m super excited about my next skates. They’ll either be 7s or 9s but the TF line for price and features is insane. I’ve been skating in MLX boots and needed some time to figure out the ankle function that felt most natural, but they’re awesome in fit, performance, and protection and they’re also just built on a stock foot form.

Chiming in late but from my experience, the RX3 felt whippier than my CCM SuperTacks 2.0 and Jetspeed FT2. Their gloves feel a bit tighter (to me) over the back of the hand, but with similar room/volume everywhere else compared to Bauer Vapors.

Yeah the monitor I was strapped to was dinging almost constantly, every time it was dip to 89. Though, TBF I was wearing a mask the entire time, 6+ hours. At one point I remembered that I'd had a blood clot so he ordered a CT scan right away for the possibility of PE, though he did mention it helps to know the clot was localized after an injury (right ankle broken, clot in right calf). Chest x-ray and CT scan both totally normal. Gotta make a doctor appointment, I guess.

Shins - Don't like the fact that they ditched the flex cap. 2X Pro seems cheap compared to the 1X Lite. Calf strap is nice if you have skinny legs Pants - like the belt system. Elbows - very comfortable, top strap is a big improvement. But what's up with how pointed they are and stick out. Shoulders - caps sit better on the shoulder. Wish they kept Curv for the sternum in the 2X Pro instead of the plastic. Gloves - lighter, seem to fit a bit smaller. Not crazy about the new palm and the foams on top of the fingers seem spongey. Bauer for years was proud of the 3 flex thumb, so I don't know why the change in the 2X Pro. Mobility seems fine with the 2-piece. Not crazy about the cuff (prefer the 1X Lite Pro cuff). *The extreme lightness may give the false impression of the line being cheap. Won't know for sure until we see how it wears over time.

While I don't know if the materials and protective features have improved, everything looks like cheaper looking down grades from the 1X Lite line. The two worst are the pants that no longer have the laces, but a oversized stretch zone and the gloves with the cheap looking rubber letters. I have no idea why Bauer wants to use those especially seeing it get crapped on when the 2S Pro line debuted.

If there was any evidence that a $500 helmet was better than the $175 helmet I wear now, as far as protecting my brain, then I would spend it. Hell, goalie masks cost a whole hell of a lot more than that.

Not surprising, being a fan of the Lefevre CCM style. Crawford has been wearing them for a while now.

I think trues are able to fit ppl with foot shapes that arent "avg" to a degree. The moldability allows for a bit of flexibility in fit but obviously some people will just need custom boots. I fit into a supreme pretty well but there are some hot spots. Even with my one100 that I wore for 7-8 years, I had no pain skating, but when walking I had pinching above my ankle area. With my as1 it was super painful all over to break in. Once broken in they were ok but protection was non existent. I took light passes off the ankle that hurt like hell. I took a bomb from the pt off my trues and didn't miss a shift and I don't have the extra shot blockers. Vapor 2.9 I had to return. Overall fit felt ok but produced quite painful lacebite on the top of my forefoot from slight volume issues. Trues are the only skates I didn't have any pain or break in period out of box. Yes mine are customs but I'm sure I would fit fine into retails. You are right though. The as3 and the second from the top jetspeeds are also top or the line skates. They're essentially the previous years top skate. So if you look at it that way they're technically newer than trues which haven't changed tech wise except when they went to a diff carbon weave about 1.5 years ago. From my experience in terms of wrap and moldability. It's True (by a landslide), then CCM, and far down in third is Bauer. CCM gets soft really fast but I'm not sure if the materials are meant to get that soft since they recommend only to be baker for I think 3 mins. If done longer it does get pretty soft but since they recommend 3 mins, I'm sure it can't be good for the materials.

I would say the AS3 and FT490 are premium skates. They are one piece and would be responsive, but I don't think they would have as much wrap, be as moldable or have the zero negative space concept of Trues. I think of the CCM skates as more of a one piece traditional hockey boot akin to the old Easton Synergy skates, but with some moldabilty. The True skates are speed skate inspired, super moldable and more like KOR and Mako, but with more stiffness. I don't have an average foot. I would say my instep and heel is average, but my forefoot is very wide. So in a Nexus the forefoot would be good, but the heel was too wide and it was too deep. In other Bauer and CCM skates I could find skates with good heel lock and depth, but the forefoot and/or toe box would be too narrow. Makos in EE locked in my heel, but gave my forefoot enough room after baking. So for someone with my issue of a regular heel, but very wide forefoot a highly moldable stock skate may work as long as the toe box isn't too narrow. The moldabilty may hot help someone like yourself with depth issues though.

Hi guys - Steve from Sparx here. There's really no need to do anything different when starting up your machine after a few months. Like a lot of you, some of our machines were unused for a few months and there's no issues in starting them right up and sharpening. Thanks!

Thats like asking how long is a piece of string. Do you take lots of slap shots, face offs, grind away in the corner etc etc. For example I went thru 4 DT1's in about 3 months (I was doing a lot of slapshot practice everyday) yet a team mate of mine still had his original a year later. Admittedly the DT1's didn't have a great rep but it all depends on how you play / practice and what form of abuse you put the sticks through.

I know a guy who has one and really likes it. Same guy swears by ABHS (all black hockey sticks), so take it for it's worth.
