You can have any curve you want at retail, as long as it’s a p88, p28, or p92.

Maybe you’re just quicker and getting better at reading shooting/passing lanes?

Do you have access to the rep? Actually showing them the cross cut blades with different make ups, I would be curious to see how they respond.

Covid: Better face masks for hockey
start_today replied to SolarWind's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
As a player with a cage, I thought the best option was the CCM mask that affixed to the cage. Sitting a little always from the face helped. -
The general take on this board is that Tron everything is 3rd rate junk. And that’s the generous wording. For sticks, for a similar price you can find much better stuff in prostock and discounted old stock. If you’re looking for an off brand, brand new stick, check out the prostockhockeysticks thread that someone else just posted. Those are only $30 more and have good reviews from knowledgeable people. I’ve literally never seen a good review of a Tron product that says it’s both durable and quality. The best defense people provide of their stuff is “hey, it’s cheap and I can’t tell the difference anyway.”

P80 is the CCM prostock code for the p88.

Is the blood coming from your toes, or toenails? And, is it a specific toe? Where on the toe? On one foot or both?
-
I’m not sure how to find it, but someone else posted something similar about True sticks a year or two ago. I don’t think there was any unique solution beyond removing the grip as a whole, but you’re not alone.

No way, learning is awesome! I hope I didn’t sound sassy or rude.
-
This could be a big differentiator on the TF9 from the TF7. They are similar enough lay people have to dig a bit to find the differences.
-
@JAY4114 you buying a completely different stick every other month or so, or do you just like learning about sticks? I feel like you pretty regularly make a new stick thread about “what is the best ________ for ________?” Im totally here for whatever and not judging, just curious.
-
Ive had the TF7s for like a month or six weeks now. They got pretty comfortable quickly. Every once in a while, I feel like I get this extra boost for a stride or two, and feel extra fast. I assume it’s just all my body mechanics lining up correctly, but I’ve never had that with any other skate.
-
Lots of complaints about some part of the mechanism in edge holders loosening up, and steel clicking and moving.
-
If flex thumb matters to you, I’ve had trouble finding CCMs with flex thumbs. Seems like more of them are rigid. Some people don’t care, or are happy to cut the thumb loops, but the non-flexing thumb is a deal breaker for me.

Do players still rock yellow laces?
start_today replied to iceman8310's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Imagine being the person who needs so much control and petty power in their life they are mandating what color of laces and helmets mite players must wear. -
What’s the difference between bladder molded vs compression molded?

Do players still rock yellow laces?

My wife has worn the derby rainbow laces in her skates for years. She says they are “very waxed.” She gets them from the derby laces store on Amazon. -
This isn’t what you were asking at all, but if you post about what you didn’t like about newer sticks you picked up vs the Eastons, people might be able to direct you to a more recent stick that feels the way you prefer Unless you have a giant quiver of Eastons, and won’t run out soon, in which case, post pics!

They should let you bake them as part of the try on process.
-
I’d get the 7.5. “Feathering” is what you want when they are broken in. These will break in with baking and skating and feel too big. Plus, they are moldable enough they will accommodate any width you are losing by moving down. I assume from your story you have to mail order them, and bake them at home?

Any recommendations for a stick that plays similar to the QX? To me, DX felt like it played stiffer and/or they moved the kickpoint. I really like the shooting feel of the QX, kickpoint felt like it was in a great place for me.

It’s not often that I get to score “well, actually…” points off of you. I gotta take wins where I can get them. 😉

Carbonlite runners from Hyperlite
start_today replied to Beerleaguebumhockey's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
Why do some people get SO MAD over other people worrying about weight? Like, if it’s not for you, then just smirk and and don’t buy it. -
Didn’t Pitch3 allowed you to adjust the pitch angle? I didn’t think you were adjusting the rocker.
