Adidas sponsored schools all wear adidas jerseys and socks; Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Maine (in recent years), UMass, Bowling Green, Brown, Miami (Ohio), Nebraska-Omaha etc...

Schools with adidas jerseys and socks have CCM or Reebok helmets and gloves.

That's too bad. I liked the all black/green G logo. It was their trademark, like the heel wedge on Tacks.

I don't think he meant they're scrapping that logo, just the big version of it printed on the inside heel of the 9035 and similar skates. I like the darting G too, but I miss the old GRAF badge from before that.

Reebok/CCM is one company. adidas owns them.

Thanks for clearing that up, I knew it was something like that. I applied for a job at Taylormade a few months ago, and thats when I learned that TM and RBK/CCM were all Adidas brands.

Hence the Taylormade involvement in the CCM RBZ stick.

When you walk into the Taylormade headquarters in San Diego there are Adidas posters EVERYWHERE.

I vaguely remember a CCM RBZ golf bag at the HQ as well.

Perhaps, but it wasn't really relevant. It was just a company that had a local HQ. We didn't get too far in the discussions, they said they could only offer a 5-figure salary. Conversation ended quickly at that point.

I've never actually been there, I only talked to them over the phone. Their HQ is about a 5-10 minute drive from my house.

I literally googled "companies with HQ in Carlsbad, CA" and started sending out resumes. The company I was working for went to crap, so I was looking for anything (but not desperate enough to take a pay cut... yet). As it turns out, a friend of mine ran a company in San Diego that did nothing but Juniper networking. I was hired immediately as soon as I realized.

Yeah, logo stays, its just the entire inside of the heel being green on the new MCI skates will be gone...or so I've been told by the rep.

You can scratch Notre Dame off of that list.

They just switched to Under Armour.

I read up on it a little after your post. Sounds like if Notre Dame doesn't get exactly what they want they go to someone else. I find it strange that adidas didn't tell any of their employees this happened.

Ahh, should have read closer. I had a pair of gloves w/ the old graf badge. It'd be cool if they brought it back in some way, kind of like sherwood's 5030 vintage glove.

EDIT: The badge, not necessarily that model glove.

Not true; my Western Michigan Broncos are sponsored by Adidas but rep Bauer for hockey.

I believe their jerseys are by Gemini; at least that's who did their throwbacks for the Great Lakes Invitational.

Some schools have individual apparel contracts for each sport, others have one contract for everything. Notre Dame's contract for example was for all apparel for every sport.

It's the same in Canada, my university had Adidas apparel across the board including the hockey teams, and they have a seperate gear deal

Right, but your original comment encompassed all.

Michigan uses Easton helmets - due to the fact they can get the wings done at the factory. It depends on the school.

Does Under Armour have a school with a major hockey program yet, or is this their first?
